Thanks so much for stopping by my little corner of the internet! Won’t you curl up with your favorite quilt and cup of coffee and stay a while?  Coffee Date with Kate is where I share my heart, ideas, favorite recipes, and adventures.

I’m a pursuer of Jesus above all else, striving daily to live for Him and become more like Him. My greatest blessings are being a wife, mama, and homemaker. I’m a self-proclaimed chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, and a lover of capturing images that freeze time, writing, and mornings. I embrace spontaneity but also value tradition, fall in love with everywhere I go, and love to get lost in a good book with a big cup of coffee.Katie B Holiday 2015 by Ariana Clare_51.jpg

This handsome man is my husband, Grayson. He teaches 6th grade at the middle school in the little town we call home on the outskirts of Charlotte, N.C. He is an incredible cook, loves sports of all kinds, makes me laugh until my stomach hurts, has more patience than anyone I know, and loves spontaneous adventure just as much as I do. He is so much fun to be around, is an amazing Daddy, pays attention to little details, surprises me constantly, and draws me closer to Jesus every day. When Jesus brought him into my life, He gave me a gift I’ll spend the rest of my life thanking Him for.

In May 2016, Grayson and I welcomed our first little boy into the world. I have always wanted to be a Mama, and now that I am, it’s even better than I dreamed. This little life Jesus has entrusted us with is my greatest treasure and it is so much fun to watch him grow.

I love sharing my story with you through this blog and would love to know yours. After all, isn’t that what it’s all about? Lets get to know each other!

Warmly,

Katie

“She is quick and curious and playful and strong. She is a voracious reader and a fantastic dancer. She saves old snapshots but always loses her umbrella. Her emails pile up but she never forgets to call her grandmother. She has $7 in change in the bottom of her handbag.”

Please note: the iconic image of the coffee cups on the main page of this blog as well as directly above this statement is not my original artwork. I found it on Pinterest and just loved it!
