Classic Market Gift Co. Fall Bags

You may remember seeing a few different posts about Classic Market Gift Co. (my all time favorite Etsy Shop). Victoria, the owner and creative behind the shop, is so sweet and she’s always coming up with adorable new pieces. These Wizard of Oz shirts were some of my favorite matching outfits the kids have ever had and I love these bags from last spring (we still use them all the time!).

For fall, she’s designed some adorable fall themed treat bags and to be honest, I had a really hard time choosing which ones I wanted because they’re all just so cute. We use these bags for a lot of different things- we carry them to church with the kid’s Bibles in them, we carry them to the YMCA with a diaper and wipes, we fill them with toys and take them with us to restaurants or places where the kids will have to wait. They are the perfect size, are so easy to throw in the washer, and hold up really well.

You can find Landon’s little blue truck bag here and Harper’s floral pumpkin bag here!

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

One of the things I love most about a pound cake is the thought that goes into it beforehand. Going through the motions of setting out the eggs and butter long before it’s time to bake so they can come to room temperature, greasing and flouring an old, trusty bundt pan, and measuring out all the other ingredients… and then, after everything’s been sifted and mixed, the heavenly smell that fills the whole house while it’s baking… it’s such a sweet reminder that sometimes – maybe even, most of the time – good things just take a little time. Clinging to His reminders to bloom where I’m planted and trust the process, today 🌿

INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour pan.
  • To a stand mixer, add the butter and sugar with the paddle attachment and cream together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add in the vanilla, eggs, and milk until fully combined.
  • Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined then fold in most of the chocolate chips (reserve a handful), pour into the loaf pan and sprinkle over the remaining chips and bake for 55-60 minutes.

This recipe is so simple and so good! Just don’t forget a tip my Mama taught me- toss your chocolate chips in flour so they don’t all sink to the bottom while it’s baking!

McCoy’s Boys

McCoy’s Boys offers adorable shoes, t-shirts, and hats for toddler boys. Their loafers are adorable, timeless, and look “just like Daddy’s.”

I love this “love you until the cows come home” shirt because my Paw used to say that to me all the time. I miss him so much and would give anything to see him with Landon. They would be inseparable! When I tell Landon that I’ll love him til the cows come home, he gets this confused look on his sweet little face, tilts his head, and says, “what cows, Mama? They comin’ to our house?” I could eat him up!

The loafers are such high quality and I love how easy they are for Landon to put on and slip off himself and how comfortable they seem to be for him. He’s wearing the “classic caramel loafer” in a size 9 and a size 4T in the “Cows Come Home” shirt.
